Labor Education…

Education is the foundation of the society, the direction of the society can be determined by its importance in educational system. The society which has encouraged and kept importance on progressive and scientific education has grown exceptionally in due time, others who failed have perished.

The unequal and unproductive education system that we have in Nepal is the root cause of our youth’s drift. In Nepal education is commodity, its not accessible by all. Those who can afford study in private school, those who can’t go to Public. Most Public Schools are poorly equipped and lack even the basic infrastructure that is needed to teach. Job market in Nepal is limited and highly competitive, so one from private school has unfair advantage and hence the competition is not balanced. Due to lack of job and opportunity many youth go to foreign countries to look for a job, in most cases as a labor than a skilled professional.

Here we should realize who will benefit from this drift. It is known fact that Nepali citizens are recruited into British and Indian Army as an economical mercenary. Nepalese youth are working as a cheap labor in countries like India, Malaysia, South Korea, Israel, Japan , USA and many other Middle Eastern countries. They are also getting killed in Afghanistan and Iraq while working as a security person in these war ridden countries. Many people who can afford are also joining foreign universities and not returning back, resulting in brain drain.

We should get rid of this feudal education system, which just focuses on building a better labor than creating scholars. Productive and equal education system for all the citizen of the country is what we need. We should establish the equal education system so that nobody can get unfair advantage in the career competitions. The education system which is productive, scientific, and accessible and that can create job to the people is what we need. Education should not be a commodity , it is right of the people. In doing so we can demoralize and stop the regressive and imperialistic force’s devilish motives on our country’s human and natural resources.
